A successful payment does not by itself mean that your railway ticket has been issued. Check the latest order status and final train details before treating the journey as confirmed.
Read the three stages separately
Scroll sideways to see all columns on smaller screens.
| Stage | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Order submitted | Your booking request exists; it does not prove payment or a reserved seat. |
| Payment confirmed / ticketing in progress | Funds may be received while railway fulfillment is still pending. |
| Ticket issued / confirmed | Review the actual train, stations, date, class and seat or berth details, plus any boarding instructions. |
Before paying
Check the total and currency shown at checkout, any separately disclosed charges, the exact stations and every passenger’s details. Available payment methods depend on the live checkout. Your card issuer may apply its own currency-conversion or foreign-transaction charge; it is not necessarily part of the seller’s displayed price. Do not assume all cards or wallets are accepted.
If the bank shows a charge but the order is pending
Check the existing order and allow its status check to finish. A pending card authorization, a provider confirmation and a completed railway booking are different events. Contact the seller with the order reference if the status remains unclear. Do not pay again or create a duplicate order solely because a browser closed, an email is delayed or the bank app shows a pending entry.
If the confirmation email is missing
Check spam folders, the address used for booking and the order page. Use the seller’s support channel to confirm whether ticketing completed. Keep an offline copy of the confirmed journey details for reference, but do not treat an order email as a replacement for your original travel document.
How an e-ticket is used at the station
An e-ticket is a railway booking record associated with the passenger’s identity. Carry the original passport used for the ticket. Use an appropriate automated or staffed channel according to station instructions; a passport that is not read by a gate may require staff help. Follow any specific collection or verification notice. An invoice or itinerary is not itself boarding permission.
If a refund is pending
First confirm that the cancellation was completed and the refund amount approved. Processing by the seller, payment provider and bank can take different amounts of time, so avoid a fixed arrival-time assumption. Ask for the refund status through the original booking channel rather than rebooking the same journey to “test” payment.
